This photo shows the old 12 foot Windsock at Beaudesert Hospital in Queensland.
The hospital at Beaudesert has a Helicopter landing zone on the ground near the main building, it is classed as a secondary landing site and for that reason it is Yellow, it is also illuminated for night use.
The poor old sock was retired in December 2015, and a new sock installed. As part of our service, we check the pole for defects and report accordingly.
